Translation Memory Software
Many different types of
translation software exists on the market to help the translator achieve his
goals. Which of those tools you use depends on personal and client preference.
My preferences are as follows:
Wordfast is my preferred translation tool. Why? Because it utilizes an
open-ended user database which is easy to manipulate and modify over multiple
projects. Using 'Translation Memory technology (TM)'
as opposed to
'Machine Translation
technology (MT)' it's ideal for fast,
accurate, compatible and consistent
translations.

SDL Trados is the most widely used translation tool on the
market. It's very elegant software of the highest quality. I use it as requested
by the client and when necessary on certain projects.
